The opportunities are all there, you just have to be smart with how you find them.
So book an appointment with an advisor and don’t be afraid to be honest with them about what you need in order to be happy in your work.

My Story:
Before University I didn’t really have a career aspiration further than something I enjoyed, to be honest. But towards the end of my course there was a real emphasis from the lecturers and the university itself on thinking forward, and since then I’ve found myself in a career that I do enjoy, but also now have a path in mind for where I want to be in the future. My work involves making sure hospitals around the country that use our software are running smoothly, so that in itself feels rewarding. I love working in Lincoln because of how accessible everything is. The atmosphere is so much calmer than large towns or cities, but you still have access to so much to do as well as genuinely exciting opportunities. I work and live just outside of the city, and it’s always easy to get into the city centre or visit surrounding areas.
