The Rewards & Recognition Challenge
With partnerships with celebrity endorsers Investors in People assessed North Kesteven District Council’s practices in 2020. As part of the assessment, Reward and Recognition was considered a key priority area for the Council.
From this assessment, a Reward, Recognition and Core Benefits Strategy had been produced. The strategy included planning an Awards Ceremony for employees to celebrate the success of colleagues’ hard work during the past 12 months.
The project group worked with the Council to develop a plan for the nomination, shortlisting and award ceremony using the descriptions detailed within the draft Reward, Recognition and Core Benefits strategy. The ceremony plans were devised to encourage participation and engagement with the employees, as well as to involve families and friends to improve the experience for the award winners. The students working on this project were able to gain logistical skills and high-quality experience working with a big organisation to deliver a large-scale event.
