Speak to your tutors and put yourself forward for as many opportunities as possible.
Get in touch with others that have done the course before, for me there was a Facebook group for graduates of the MSc I did so that’s ben really great.
Course:
BsC Sports Development & Coaching / MsC Sports Development
Job:
MSc Clinical Animal Behaviour
My Story:
The thing that most attracted me to study in Lincoln was the reputation and contents of the Animal Welfare and Behaviour Group and Course. I always knew I wanted to work in the field of animal behaviour, but I didn’t have a particular job in mind. Since working in the field in various roles with different organisations I realised I loved working with people within the animal industry, particularly within coaching and managerial type positions. I chose to stay in Lincolnshire after graduating because of the friends I’d made during my masters. Up until 2021 I was living in Lincoln and working from home for Dogs Trust, and I enjoyed all the beautiful countryside just on my doorstep. The most rewarding thing about my job is having the opportunity to support others to develop in the areas of dog and cat welfare, behaviour, and training.
